Job Overview
The Electrician is responsible for executing a range of electrical tasks including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for electric energy generation, distribution, and utilization. Specific duties include working with various electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, and circuit breakers, and involve reading blueprints, diagnosing electrical issues, and utilizing measuring instruments.
Pay Rate: $50.27/hr
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
• Provide electrical maintenance at voltages below 600 volts.
• Interpret wiring diagrams to locate failures.
• Troubleshoot and determine root causes of electrical failures.
• Plan and layout work based on blueprints, drawings, or instructions.
• Document any necessary field alterations.
• Organize workload and meet deadlines.
• Request and participate in outages when needed.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations.
• Perform on-call and preventive maintenance as necessary.
• Engage in periodic inventory checks and prepare requisitions for replacements.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors on electrical tasks.
• Support other departments as required.
• Assist other trades as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Complete other assigned duties, including supporting CMMS.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage professionally and courteously with diverse individuals.
• Exercise mature judgment and work independently.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in commercial electrical service and maintenance.
• Journeyman Electrician license.
• Strong knowledge of electrical tools and instruments.
• Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain various electrical systems with minimal supervision.
• In-depth understanding of applicable codes and standards.
• Familiarity with basic math functions.
• Pass pre-hire background and drug screening.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Hold required intelligence community level clearance.
• Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
Preferred:
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions:
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 50 pounds individually and to team lift up to 75 pounds.
